The Feeling Of Deafness
On my weekend, I spend my afternoon watching t.v. Then, I decided to try something new. I grabbed the remote and turn the volume on mute. The t.v. broke into silence but there were still subtitles appearing on the screen. At that moment, I finally have the feeling of being deaf. I started reading the subtitles on the screen and matching the words to what the actors are saying, sometimes when the subtitle disappear too fast it makes it hard for me to catch up with the movie. But I still think it was a really good experience because although I couldn't hear anything, I could still keep in touch with the movie by reading the subtitles.

Reading subtitles can sometimes be challenging. It is a good skill to have (to be able to read fast) specially if you are watching a movie with subtitles. It seems you are ready to watch foreign films now....
ReplyDeleteI know how to make it go slower pause it everytime ahhaa just kidding
ReplyDeleteIs this person really deaf or is he/she just pretending not to hear.
ReplyDeleteI know and it counts as reading sometimes it just go by so fast that I get really mad and then I just put the sound back on.
ReplyDeleteIf I don't have the sound I just look at the pictures and figure out what they are talking about.
ReplyDeleteI agree with T.Benaline.
ReplyDeleteI agree also.
ReplyDeleteOn Friday, T. Erin showed us an old movie with no diolouges in Hot Reads. But I thought the movie was kind of boring with no sounds.
