Boring Characters
How come it seems like whenever we read a fiction book the main character is always either very popular or very unpopular, or very rich or very poor. And if they're unpopular, they always seem to suddenly become popular in the end. It always seems to be the extreme. I also want to know why the main character in a book is usually special or the "Chosen One" or whatever. They never seem to just be a bystander( now remember, I don"t mean to include Historical Fiction. That's different) .You might say it's to make the book more exciting, but sometimes I just get tired of it, sometimes I just want something..............different. What do you think?

I know right
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kai. There's a lot of what we can call, "stereotypical" characters in books. I remember you telling me about trying to get your writing published someday. Maybe you can try to break the mold. Also, we have a lot of realistic characters that change as they go through major events in life.
ReplyDeleteKai I agree.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, but do the authors choose a certain character on purpose to be the main character?
ReplyDeleteAgrees with Kai.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.
ReplyDeleteBut I like books like that.
ReplyDeleteI agree
ReplyDeleteI agree with kai something different
ReplyDelete@Kai:If you write the characters when you are writing a story, maybe make the characters cool and/or entertaining.
