Abandoning a book if it's boring

I always abandon a book if it's boring. But my teachers especially Teacher Benaline always say to finish it but never want to because If I keep reading it I'll hate it and sometimes more.

    I know I do the samething if I dont like a book but sometimes when I keep reading the book I like the end of it so when I find a book that I dont like I stay away from it.
