Books and Movies

You know when there's a really popular book and some people decide to make a movie about it?
Well how come in the movie, they cut out some scenes from the book and add things into the movie that didn't actually happen? For example, say in a book a man dives into a pool of water near the middle of the book, but then in the movie, he lives for most of the movie and dies at the end in a totally different way. Or if in the movie, they add a totally new character in or they emphasize on a character, that in the book is just a bystander. Help me out with this....please.

  1. I agree they changed the part.

  2. they change parts because the book's scenes are too detailed. They want to make it at least for 1-2 hours. The whole book is going to take about 5 hours to watch, so they cut out unimportant scenes. Which makes me angry because now it's not even the same as the real book.
