I was at my bank and saw a sign "$10 for 10 books". Apparently TD Bank is offering $10 if you read 10 books this summer (which goes from May to September) and complete the form online. Go to http://www.tdbank.com/summerreading/ and check it out. You have to have or open a bank account, so talk to your parents.
I definitely think that reading has its own rewards and no one should have to be paid to read--I am currently knee-deep in the Harry Potter series for the first time, and I am loving it! However, as long as you are reading 10 books, you might as well get paid for it.
