The Big Lie

This is a short book. It was mostly about how a family in Europe who is trying to escape to America was cut short because they were captured by their own country soldiers the Polish army. The main character was Isabella which was actually also the author of the book. I think she wrote this book to tell people that the war was gruesome and terrifying and to also tell her part of the story of how she escaped out of Europe when she was a little girl about 12 years-old. She came to the U.S. when she journeyed onto a cabin when she escaped the concentration camp where she was brought to. When she was eating in the deserted cabin with her sisters she heard a sound of a machine like a tank. She saw the flag on the side of the tank and realized that it was the Russians that were traveling to the camps to I think rescue the captives. She later joined her father after the Russians took them to a U.S. refugee camp they were sent to America in Brooklyn. Do you think this a good book?
