Reading Log and Reflection Log

Everyday Teacher Benaline gives sixth graders a homework assignment and that homework assignment is reading log and reflection. We do this so that we can understand the book and we can write our own personal reflection about the book. Also we have a reading log because so we can keep track of what we are reading and the kind of books that we are reading.The reflection log that we have to do, at first we write an events or concepts of the book and then we can write our own personal reflection.

I'm reading this book "The Last Book In The Universe"and I don't get this book.Can someone that read this book give me a small summary of the book without telling me the ending?Please comments....

The Future

I am currently reading TIME JUMPERS: THE FUTURE IS UNKNOWN a book in the same series as THE PAST IS GONE that I talked about earlier. In this book, two kids, Jules and Gen, meet Theo once more. This time though, they realize that Quincy Carter One, the inventor of the Jumpman( a toy that allows kids to travel through time) is trying to kill them, because they're going to do something that he doesn't like in the future. Also, they have to bring their parents with them ,too. This book is also very funny, like the others in the series. For example, in the past, some cavemen teens think that if they get a wheel, it'll help them get girls.

reading a good book instead of waiting 5 hours

I went to Allentown yesterday <> to go swimming. It took 2 hours to get there but we couldn't find the swimming pool till another 3 hours for a total of 5 hours of ride in the hot car with no A.C but it was a good thing i brought a book with me and my Ipod. I read the book that i had brought and turned on my Ipod so i could listen to music while reading. If i didn't bring a book it would have been a boring 5 hours ride

Reading log and Reflection

Every night we have to read and record it and we have to write a summary about what we have read. And this is a really good idea because we want to share every part of the book and we can do this with the reading reflection log. Plus the words per minute we can improve how many words we can read with the reflection log because, we can find new words and weave them into our reflection log.

Struggling to READ

Today while I was reading The outcast of 19 Schuyler Place. I just couldn't read my brother was outside playing basketball, and the window was open. Also my dad was cooking in the kitchen ah just so much noise and I just could not read. I hope to read better after taking a shower( Cynthia's advice).

without books

If we did not have books, I would not know what I am reading. Books are important in our lives because books give us information and help us read better. Without books I would not know what I know now. without books what would you do?
